Invest Gatwick Region announces return to UKREiiF 2027 with most ambitious programme to date

24 September, 2026

Unified regional partnership to showcase £1.4bn+ investment pipeline and the Gatwick Region’s growing role as a globally connected gateway for investment

The Invest Gatwick Region partnership will return to the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) in Leeds from 18-20 May 2027, bringing together an ambitious coalition of public and private sector partners to showcase the scale and diversity of investment opportunities across the Gatwick Region.

The 2027 programme will mark the fourth consecutive year that the Gatwick Region has been represented at UKREiiF, building on the strong foundations established in recent years and delivering its most ambitious programme to date.

Led by London Gatwick as Headline Partner, with Gatwick Diamond Business as Inward Investment Lead and Associate Partner, and convened by White Label Creative, Invest Gatwick Region brings together leading public, private and knowledge economy organisations from its region under a shared investment proposition.

Partners include the London Borough of Croydon, Kent County Council, Invest West Kent, the Sussex & Brighton Strategic Authority, Nescot, Chichester College Group, Invest in Croydon, Oander, Modus, Menzies, Gatwick Green, Morgan Sindall Construction and SHW.

With London Gatwick continuing as Headline Partner and Gatwick Diamond Business as Inward Investment Lead and Associate Partner, 2027 will also see enhanced participation from both the Sussex & Brighton Strategic Authority and Kent County Council, each taking dedicated stand space alongside the core Invest Gatwick Region presence. This expanded footprint will create an even stronger and more coordinated showcase for the wider Gatwick Region.

Further partners and participating local authority districts will be announced as the programme develops.

UKREiiF 2027 will see the launch of an updated Invest Gatwick Region Investment Prospectus, showcasing more than £1.4bn of investment opportunities alongside the region’s latest development projects and growth opportunities.

The 2027 programme will also highlight the significance of the Northern Runway project at London Gatwick, following the recent green light for the more than £2bn privately financed development. The project is expected to support around 14,000 jobs and deliver an estimated £1 billion annual boost to the economy, while increasing airport capacity, strengthening resilience and enhancing the region’s global connectivity.

Richard Lennard, Economic and Community Partnerships Manager, London Gatwick, said:

“Centred around London Gatwick, the Gatwick Region is one of the UK’s most globally connected and economically significant areas. Our return to UKREiiF reflects the region’s growing ambition and the strength of the opportunities it offers investors.

“As we enter our fourth consecutive year at the event, we’re building our most ambitious UKREiiF programme yet, bringing together an even broader coalition of partners to showcase the scale of opportunity across the Gatwick Region. London Gatwick’s Northern Runway Programme is an important part of that story, strengthening global connectivity and creating significant opportunities for businesses and communities across the wider region.

“By working together through Invest Gatwick Region, we can speak with one voice about the opportunities available and make it easier for investors to see how they can be part of the region’s future growth.”

With £165 billion in GVA in 2023, representing around 7% of the UK economy, the Gatwick Region is one of the UK’s most significant economic areas. Anchored by London Gatwick, the UK’s second-largest airport, which serves around 43 million passengers annually, the region connects businesses and investors to global markets while offering access to a highly skilled workforce, world-class education and research, and a diverse innovation ecosystem.

Brett North, Executive Director, Gatwick Diamond Business, said:

“The strength of the Gatwick Region lies in the breadth of its economy, the quality of its connectivity and, increasingly, the way its public and private sector partners are working together around a shared investment proposition.

“UKREiiF gives us an important opportunity to put that proposition in front of investors, developers and decisionmakers at scale. Our return in 2027 builds on the momentum generated over the last three years and demonstrates the increasing collaboration taking place across the Gatwick Region.

“There is a compelling story to tell about the Gatwick Region, from aviation and advanced engineering to life sciences, digital and AI, clean energy and the knowledge economy. By bringing those opportunities together under one voice, we can strengthen the region’s visibility and create new connections that support investment and long-term growth.”

The Invest Gatwick Region programme at UKREiiF 2027 will bring together partners, investors, developers and industry leaders through a programme of meetings, networking and engagement focused on investment, regeneration and economic growth.
